Full botanical plant names, including authorities, must be mentioned besides the local names and if existing, an English name. Insert the full species name and authority according to correct nomenclature at first mention in the manuscript, preferably the title. The authority does not have to repeated every time the species is mentioned. The species name must be in italics and the authority should not be; e.g. in Hoodia gordonii (Masson) Sweet ex Decne., the Hoodia gordonii must be written in italics, and the authority, (Masson) Sweet ex Decne., should not be italics. Die ‘g’ in gordonii must not be capitalised. The authority should be written exactly as is provided in the world checklist of selected plant families

for example, with brackets and full stops exactly the same (https://wcsp.science.kew.org). The full species names and authorities must be correctly inserted for ALL plant species mentioned in the manuscript at first mention in the manuscript.
