POSI BLOT SOLUTIONS

2X Posi blot denaturing sol'n
2 Liters

1. 80g NaOH sodium hydroxide (pellets)
   
2. 350.6g NaCl sodium chloride
   
3. bring up to 2 liters with H₂ O
   
4. stir until dissolved
   
5. aliqot into two 1-liter bottles
   
6. do not autoclave
   

2X Posi blot neutralization sol'n
2 Liters

1. 484.4g Tris base
   
2. bring up to 1 liter with H₂ O
   
3. pH to 7.5 by adding HCl solution (wear gloves!, ~200mls conc.)
   
4. add 350.6g NaCl sodium chloride
   
5. bring up to 2 liters with H₂ O
   
6. stir until dissolved
   
7. aliquot into two 1-liter bottles
   
8. do not autoclave
