再生肝 regenerating liver 是指使哺乳类的肝脏一部分缺损时所发生的代偿性肥大而言。这种肝细胞分裂旺盛，多用来作为细胞增殖的研究材料。具有再生肝的老鼠和联体结合的正常老鼠的肝脏是肥大的，从妊娠鼠的肝脏作部分切除而胎儿肝细胞发生异常增殖这点来看，体液的因素是重要的。
