寒带cold zone

气候带之一。指比温带的纬度高，而年平均气温在0℃以下的地区。此外各月平均气温均在 10℃以下的地区称为极带（ polar zone），与仅有 1— 4个月，平均气温为 10— 20℃地区的寒带相区别。由于低温和生长期短，所以具有特有的某种植物相和植物群落。也有把南北两半球的寒带区别为南寒带和北寒带的学者（ A． De Candolle． 1855， L． J． Willis， 1922等）。此带主要为冻原。在林学方面，常常把亚寒带称为寒带。例如寒带林等。
