【共享】老外今天把质粒寄来了。

我5月18号向一位韩国Han-Yang大学的教授索要两个基因的质粒。得住于我们园子里面很多贴子的帮助，在他们的帖子的帮助下，今天（6月2号）老外终于把质粒寄来了。前后仅仅半个月和老外的接触，让我深刻体会到国外专家教授的那种科学无私的精神。把与他来往通信贴出来，供以后需要的朋友参考。也宣传一下这位教授（Sang-Hun Lee MD.PhD）的科学无私精神。

Dear Dr Lee,
I am working on ××××××University in China. And one of my projects focuses on neural regeneration. Isolating ××× cDNA and ×××cDNA seems to be a problem hard to get over for us. One of my graduates has been working on it for a couple of months, but no progress. We are happy to find that your laboratory was the major source of the ××× cDNA and×××cDNA in many publications(Journal of Cell Science 23 February 2006 ~undefined**8~B.Therefore~E_I_am_writing_to_explore_the_possibility_of_getting_×××cDNA and ×××cDNA from your laboratory. If you were kindly offering us the DNA(P–IRES-×× and P–IRES-××）it would be very helpful for us. Of course, the DNA will never be used for commercial purpose.We will acknowledge the DNA resource and cite your papers in all our publications based on the DNA. We are also willing to put you into the author list that’s necessary. Sure, We would like to sign any contract for the DNA transfer.
One of my graduates is waiting for the DNA to set up his experiment, so your early response will be greatly appreciated.

We want the pCDNA3.1-based vectors for××and ××。
In your letter, you want to send them via Fedex delivery. But I consulted with the Fedex company in ShangHai of China, they said that it’s very difficult to apply for a Fedex account number for our university. You know a lot of things in china are different from other countries .So would you please send them via your Fedex account number or via other ways? If you can ,please give me your account or your address and tell us how much we should pay, then we can pay for you before delivery. I hope it will not make you in trouble. Thanks again!

Don't worry about the charge. It will take only several US dollors. We are not such the stingy（我们不是那种利益的小人） person to push you pay the small charge.
I just want every scientists to have an open mind to share their experimental systems and belonglings with other scientists.
I thank you for your considerate way of thinking.
看到他的来信真是感动啊，看人家这教授，才是真的为科学奉献呢。。。

You are a so great scientist that I will great appreciate it.
Please give me an instruction of your plasmid when delivery of them. I look forward to your plasmid in Nanjing.

接下来我就在实验室等他的质粒啦，我本认为至少要一个月才能制备好质粒给我寄来，令我惊喜的是6月2号我的质粒就来了，不到半个月。高兴之余记得回复感谢信一封。。
I have received your construct today. It would be very helpful for us. I would like to convey my heartfelt thanks to you for your generous help.
I will acknowledge the plasmid resource and cite your papers in all our future publications based on the plasmid. Thank you again for your kindness.
